Sour Cream Cut-Out Cookies

Always say “yes” to making cut-out cookies!
Nothing says “LOVE” like a cut-out cookie. Of all of my mom’s amazing cookie cutters, this cupid cutter is the favorite – by far. I would be heart-broken – literally – if I did not have it.
So many times she called me to say: “I’m making my Valentine’s cookies!” She never missed. While I would have given anything to be in her kitchen on those days, I am glad now that I lived my life as I did – to the FULLest with weekly travels and even spending days off like a tourist while I lived in NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia — and even in Dallas for a bit!
But none of my city adventures could ever compete with those moments when the mail carrier delivered a box with her cookies inside. Now, I do the same for others. If you are alone, you should still be making cut-out cookies. In fact, it is even more important to do so. Leave them with a neighbor, send them to a relative (we all have at least 1 somewhere if we look hard enough!) or take them to a group of volunteers at a humane society or a cancer center.
