Pasta with Pears and Tarragon Cream Sauce

Pasta with Pears and Tarragon Cream Sauce
So happy that it’s pear season, and wanted to make something really special with them!
I got inspired to make this on Instagram- Pasta with Pears and Terragon Cream Sauce!
This is so simple to make. It’s just pasta with a cream sauce made with a small carton of heavy cream, cream cheese; garlic, a little ginger, freshly cracked black pepper and pink Himalayan salt; and, of course plenty of tarragon!
I fried the pear slices in butter, garlic, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. Fall for autumn ingredients!tor auctor.
Pears are so good for you. They provide calcium, iron, potassium, Vitamin C and more.
Pasta with Pears and Tarragon Cream Sauce
4 Medium sized pears
6 Tablespoons butter
1 Clove garlic, finely chopped
1 Teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
1 Tablespoon cinnamon sugar
2 Teaspoons ground nutmeg
1 Package pasta
1 Small carton heavy whipping cream
1/2 Brick of cream cheese
Juice from one lemon
2 cups pinot grigio
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Pink Himalayan sea salt, to taste
3 Sprigs fresh tarragon
Cut a thin slice from the center of each pear. Heat half of the butter in frying pan with half of the garlic and ginger. Fry pear slices for approximately 2 minutes on each side, sprinkling each side with cinnamon sugar and nutmeg before turning. Remove pears from frying pan and set aside.
Boil water for pasta and cook pasta until al dente. Rinse, drain and set aside.
In frying pan, melt remaining butter. Add cream, cream cheese, lemon juice and remaining garlic and ginger. Cook sauce for approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until it thickens to desired consistency, stirring occasionally. Add wine and tarragon and let simmer 20 minutes.
Plate pasta and cover with sauce. Add pear slice. Garnish with remaining cinnamon sugar, nutmeg and tarragon leaves.
