Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies

When is the last time you had a chocolate chip cookie, right out of the oven?
Chocolate chip cookies are SO quick and easy and so fun to make, and there is NOTHING better – especially when they are right out of the oven.
We used to make them for our first class airline passengers, and there was such an amazing smell! To-day, I made these for one of the nicest couples in the world who helped me get a snow blower for next winter. Sometimes it’s not about the $$$ but knowing what to get and how to use it. Cannot say thanks enough to them, but this batch of cookies was a good try!
Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies
4 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons pink Himalayan sea salt
2 cups butter, softened
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
1 ½ cups packed brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 large eggs
1 ½ cups chopped walnuts
3 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350° F.
In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips.
Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, combine all ingredients well.
Add the chocolate chips, and use your hands to combine the chocolate chips into the cookie batter well.
Line 9-by-12-inch baking sheets with parchment paper.
Using your hands, roll the dough into ½-inch-round balls, and arrange 12 on each cookie sheet. Evenly space the balls of dough apart.
Using the palm of your hand, flatten each of the balls of dough.
Place in the oven, and bake until light brown and the edges begin to crisp, about 12 to 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven, and set on the countertop to cool.
